Since its establishment in 1996, the Pola Art Foundation has carried out grand programs in three areas, namely, overseas internships for young artists, research programs for curators, and international exchange programs. The Pola Museum of Art was opened in Hakone, Kanagawa prefecture in the fall of 2002, and has since been hosting temporary exhibitions featuring western modern art and cosmetic tools from the collection. The museum, located in the rich natural environment, invites many visitors to appreciate art in a leisurely way.
