New Year’s Greetings
Best wishes for a happy and prosperous new year.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all for your continued understanding and support of the Association for Corporate Support of the Arts.
Last year was the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the focus was placed on striking a balance with economic activities. In February, the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, which caused continuous uncertainty worldwide and thus had a significant impact on the economy.
Even under such circumstances, toward the achievement of the SDGs by 2030, companies are actively working to solve social issues, such as climate change, disparities, and the declining birthrate and aging population. Accordingly, not only supporting pure arts and culture but also the areas of mecenat activities have expanded to include education and welfare. There has also been an increasing number of initiatives making the most of the power of arts and culture. All these mean that the creation of society based on arts and culture – the Association’s goal – has been extensively taking place.
In 2023, while keeping an eye on these movements, the Association will shed light on the diverse forms of mecenat activities and establish a flow that allows more companies to engage, aiming to achieve a creative, fulfilling, and enriching society. We will also focus more than ever on the dissemination of how companies are addressing social issues through arts and culture and continuously evolving and developing their activities while utilizing their resources based on their respective corporate philosophies.
We will continue to work together with our member companies and organizations to solve social issues and create new values through arts and culture, and contribute to the realization of a society that enriches heart and creativity.
We very much appreciate and look forward to your continued support, and extend our wishes for a happy and prosperous new year.
